Maybe you can check the seal: The oil pressure sensor is usually sealed with an O-ring or gasket. If the seal is damaged or worn, it may need to be replaced. You can remove the sensor and inspect the seal for signs of wear or damage

I tried to take it off but other then just unplugging the sensor I wasn't able to figure it out. Youtube was not much of help since its littered with the eco boost engine problems. The way it looks it must be a bad seal since all the oil is coming from under it
The same company designed the Ecoboost sensor and grommet. Ford. If the Ecoboost requires cover removal the 5.0 probably does too.
That oil "buildup" seems pretty tiny. It doesn't look good but it's fairly normal. Seepage. I'd just wipe it up and let it ride. Actually I probably wouldn't even wipe it up. There's not much there.
ok thank you. Would this be covered under the power train warranty? I do have a few months left on that warranty..
It's probably best to contact your Ford dealer with that question since they and Ford will have the final answer and not us. I'm leaning toward them not.
There is a seal in the valve cover and, like everything, a specific tool for it. The valve cover should come off. The solenoid itself is bolted to the head.

It looks like I will be working on this myself. It is not covered under warranty.. the service advisor told me that it would be roughly about 750 with parts to get that replaced. Part is $49 so I will try and do it myself and see how it goes. The parts dept said that they see a lot of these go bad. And its the seal that fails and not the actual solenoid.
