Default 2018 5.0 with 10 speed, anyone drive it?

Hi guys,
I am torn between buying a 2017 5.0 at discount prices, or buy the 2018 with the 10 speed transmission.
I haven't seen any reviews yet for this online.
Does anyone have experience with the 2018 combo?
Should I buy the 2018? I will use it in mixed driving, and pulling my 20ft bay boat, and occasionally my tent camper.
thanks in advance for any input

I have not driven it. I did watch a Utube video of the 6 speed like I have and the new 10 speed. Two trucks the same except one has 6 spd one has 10 spd. Same motors , same trailers being towed. They go up a steep incline at the Ford test track. By the time they reach the top, the 10 spd is truck and trailer ahead of the 6 speed.
Hey if dough is no issue get the 2018. And I say that as I look to September of 2018 to buy my next truck as the 2019's are on the lot I'll be shopping the 18 leftovers.. (do what I say..not what I do)

I just purchased a 2018 XLT SuperCrew with 3.55 gears 10speed and 5.0 V8 yesterday so only have about 50 miles of driving it but i like it a lot, drives great and transmission is very smooth. I'm coming from a 15 with the 2.7.

Keep in mind that the '18 has a different 5.0 engine also which makes some of the difference. Different fuel system, different power curves, more HP, etc.

The 10 speed for 2018 is what made me decide not to wait next year to buy on the lot 2018 rebate truck.
Whatever it can be said about...ANY new product in ANY domain will have to go under certain time before they are bug free. I know the 10 sp is from 2017 on the Eco's...but still one year product for me is still under development.

So that explain why I'm a new owner of a 5.0 / 6 sp 2017.

My 2 cents

Waiting for me to buy or shop next August/September is because one reason....I'm a poor bastard that needs a very small payment for 48 months....I'll get a good trade or sell outright and get a 'leftover' for a lot less.

Hey. I just picked up an '18 5.0 XLT Sport SCrew 5.5 box 3 weeks ago. Traded a '15 Mustang GT 6 speed manual Premium Performance Pack in on it. I have to say that this engine/tranny combo is spectacular! I've put 1000 km (600 miles) on it so far and I love it!! It's so smooth. And depending on how you drive the mileage can be stellar or garbage (think Eco and pretending there is an egg under your foot vs Sport and knowing you have a 5.0!) It's comfortable, ridiculous space inside and drives and rides like a dream. Hope this helps.

Which axle ratio do you have?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am still on the fence. I go back and forth. I have owned a 2010 Tundra with the 5.7. It just got totaled. it had 60k when it got hit. No problems at all, except for a injection problem, (known problem) 3k repair that Toyota covers when under 100k. Truck was out of the standard warranty. 3 weeks later kaboom!
Makes me sick.
The reason I am not going back to another Tundra is it hasn't changed much in 10 years. New one is coming out next year, but I need a truck or I can't go fishing. Ford seems to have the best technology, and safest. I have considered the ecoboost, but I am looking for long term reliability and low cost of ownership. I loved that V8 in the Tundra.

I really like the idea of the 10 speed, hopefully better gas mileage.
It's just ridiculous how expensive trucks are now.
