What side bars did you go with?

The 5 inch Ionic Railway Running Boards.

Very easy to install. Made of "blow molded ABS plastic" with an aluminum underbody. the underbody is the "channel" where you slide the bolts to attach them to the brackets.

Never had any plastic running boards. but the OEM ones on the other ones at the dealer in this trim level were made out of the same material.

I've always bought Westin rb's.

the ionic ones have a think rubbery pad, no way of ever slipping on these.

they fit perfect, and look pretty good on the truck as well.

Time will tell if these hold up.

Thanks.

Have seen the plastic ones and they look good new. Just not sure how they'll hold up over the years. On my last truck, the stainless Lund's were bullet proof and I liked that they didn't rust. Didn't like the pads they had on them - slippery when wet.

Lots of options for sure.

that's why I lost faith in Westin. Pads weren't rubbery in the last set I bought, just molded slick plastic.

these ionic boards are a thick rubbery pad.
