As far as I know and as per PepBoys TPMS comes from the dealer at the moment, after slashing 2 tires at the same time and going to pepboys I had to go to the dealer and get them installed. $47.25 each at the dealer.

So my TPMS warning comes on every time I turn on my truck. I have a 2016 F150 XLT. Never thought nothing of it. I've replaced my two from tires with used one. Last week both my back tires some how became slanted/shrunk on the inside. Anyways I bought two brand new tires for the back. So my question is do I have to retrain the TPMS or was that something the shop was supposed to do? And if it's something I need to replace, can it be easily replaced by myself? Thanks.

Most TPMS sensors last 7-10 years before the batteries die. I've seen and heard of a few lasting as long as 14 years. I've just started replacing mine proactively with every other set of tires. That works out to about every 6-8 years. I buy mine off Amazon for $40-$60 for a set of 4. Any tire store will install and program them at no extra cost if they are mounting new tires. If you install them and are not buying new tires most shops charge $10-$15 per tire to install and program.

If I wait until the sensors die it costs double to get them installed. And it doesn't, make sense to just replace 1. If one is dead the others will be soon. It costs less to replace them every 6-8 years than one tank of fuel. If you have a truck over 6-7 years old it only makes sense to replace all when buying new tries.

These fit my 2014. You'll have to find the right ones for YOUR model truck.

Dang wish I had known. I would of replaced them when I bought the new tires. It's alright. I still have to replace the front tires at a later time. I will have them installed them. Thank you really appreciate the advice!
