2016 Pricing & Resale Value
I am looking to upgrade from my Tacoma to an F150 SuperCrew Lariat. A dealer near me has some aggressive discounts (up to 10K) on the 2016s. I've never owned an F150 so I am curious if these are typical deals? and how does this effect the resale values down the road? For example, the truck I like has an MSRP of 56,210 and a sale price of 45,975. Thanks for any feedback!
That's a decent deal at this point...at least on the Lariat. You'd likely see bigger discounts on the XLT's since they tend to put more discounts on those. I've seen some XLT's as low as $15k off MSRP.
Also, depending on the issue, the discount can be better. They've been pushing the 2.7L EB with larger discounts then the 3.5L, and the 5.0 V8 isn't too far behind the 2.7L in discounts.
All in all, that's not a bad deal.

Pike2350,
Thanks for the great feedback. I was actually wanting a 2.7 but couldn't find one in the Lariat line. This price is for the 3.5 EB. They have plenty in the XLT line though. The XLT's are nice too, but I really like the features of the Lariat.
Another dealer has one a bit cheaper but its the FX instead of the Sport. MSRP 54,976 - Discount - 44,475.

I think those are good deals then. It seems some better deals may be had over on the east coast, but the lower price would be offset by going and getting it. It appears anything around $10k off MSRP is on the better side. I don't know what your search criteria is, but I saw these three on cars.com for $11k off MSRP

Thanks. The second link is actually the FX Offroad I was talking about. They offer another $500 off if you go though Ford financing which is 6.9%, but I can probably get under 3% from a credit union.
What are peoples opinions on the Sport vs FX packages?

Take all the rebates and finance through Ford. Then refinance through your credit union.
The FX package will sit up higher and will have larger tires, which I personally like, and though it costs more initially, it is a popular option for resale.
