2016 Leveling with trailer considerations
Hello all,
Interested for feedback for a 2016 F 150. We are getting closer and closer to ordering our KR and still back and forth with adding the FX4 package.
With that being said we live outside the city here in Omaha. Winters are unpredictable at the least... I will want to get some type of leveling/lift for the truck. We also will be using it to tow a trailer...... I assume maximum hitch weight to be no more than 8-900 pounds at very maximum.
What do you all suggest? We have one place in town that is suggesting a suspension lift and not a body lift. They are suggesting a 2.5" raise in the front and 2" blocks in the rear. I do not know the components but $600 out the door with alignment. Need some help if you guys/gals have suggestions.
Thanks All!
Jason

If you do decide to get this done, you should post the results about the towing experience before and after the lift. how does it change the behavior of the truck, is it more prone to trailer movement?
I was thinking about just doing something mild like a 1.5" level on the front and a 1" block on the rear to get some room for slightly bigger tires. I don't want to negatively affect the towing capabilities of the truck though.

I do believe that you will do just fine with 2.5" front spacer and a 2" rear block plus I assume that you'll be adding a taller tire as well. You'll likely need a 4" drop receiver bar and you are good to go. One thing to keep in mind, if you change wheels, research that the wheels that you want are designed for towing the weight of the trailer before you make your purchase. Lightweight alloy wheels might not be a safe choice.
