2015/2016 CAC changes
I have a 2012 3.5 that has the CAC/intercooler problem. I have had it back several times and had all the service bulletins done and it is better, but not completely right. Everyone at Ford keeps telling me to take it back, but after a while I just kind of gave up.
So while getting an oil change I asked about what has been done to the new ones to correct this problem. Everyone says they don't know.Surely someone at Ford knows the answer, if it has been corrected. Before I spend another 40k for a new one I want to find out about this.
I really like the mileage and how this engine pulls my trailer.

google "site:f150forum.com drill CAC", plenty of info on how to remedy / help with your problem. drill, drill bit, 5 minutes of work. cheaper than forking out $40k.
now someone more knowledgeable than me can give you more details on the differences between the 13 and 15+ and their CAC.

It is exactly what ecopat said.... Drill your weep hole, drive it hard for a bit, then come back and quickly change your spark plugs out (gapped correctly). You should be hood to go for another 30-40k miles with no hesitation.
