Last week my check engine came on when I went to leave work. I swung through autozone to have them scan it as I don’t have a scanner and their report said, “P0446 Evaporative Emissions Control system vent control malfunction. Suggested part to replace is Canister Purge Valve.” So I went ahead and bought and replaced the Canister Purge Valve last Thursday but the check engine light is still on. Now I haven’t gone back to have them scan it again but, is this something that needs reset or could it be something else? Truck still runs fine and doesn’t seem to have any issues. It’s a 2014 XLT with the 5.0L if that helps at all. Trying not to be too concerned as it seems fine but also it annoys me and does worry me a little that it’s still on. Any suggestions? I’ve attached the picture of autozone’s scan results.

 

Need to clear the light now that you have replaced the part.
