Default 2014 SuperCrew jumpseat cup holders

2 weeks ago I bought a 2014 SuperCrew with the center seat/jump seat with the fold down console.

What has or has anyone else done something about these cup holders? I can not say enough BAD about them. The rubberized coating that is on this part gets a death grip hold on my drinks, so I have spilled some getting my cup out. Then, if my wife is riding with me, and has a drink, even the medium size drinks at Taco He11 or McDs won't fit side by side. Forget about the monster/large size drinks.

I think I really want the middle seat up front, but am about to pull it out and get an aftermarket console or if I can find a Ford one cheap. Not sure yet. Anyone else done something to fix this problem?

Remove the headrest and use the lower cup holders.

Tried it. A lot better, thanks. But still not the solution I was looking for. The cup holders still seem to have the same rubber coating. But are slightly farther apart, maybe a little less 'grippy'
