I'm looking into possibly purchasing a 2014 FX4 and I have a question about the V6 twin turbo engine. I currently bass fish almost every weekend and I have a 19' bass boat. My bass boat isnt particularly huge so its not that big of a load. I was wondering how the V6 Twin Turbo engine tows or if I need to just go ahead with the V8.

the V6 3.5L Twin Turbo (Ecoboost) has 5 more HP and 40 foot-pounds more torque ... it's "stronger" than the V8 5.0L ...

 

Yeah, the Ecoboost is the towing motor in the line up.

That being said, either motor will pull your bass boat just fine.

 

the ecoboost would save you a little more gas but the classic v8 sounds much better. You cant go wrong with both
