2014 Ecoboost, time for spark plugs
hi everyone,
got a 2014 FX4 with EcoBoost
127k km
recently got a misfire code and a code for misfire cylinder 2, also truck went limp mode for a few minutes.
all signs point to spark plugs, my buddy had the exact same issue around the exact same mileage on his 2011
i'm going with SP-534 Motor craft plugs gapped to .031?
i'm aware how to change them and some of the tips out there.
my question is, should I be replacing anything else other than just plugs?
Inb4 how did you get to 127k km on stock plugs

So...he installed all new plugs. Problem solved...except it reoccurred a short few months later.
Turns out it was a defective coil shorting the plug out causing it to crack.
In case this happens to you.
(P.S. - I replaced my plugs last year with NGK Iridiums...got an instant 2 mpg gain)

I'm wary with going with non-OE spark plugs though...
