Hahah, My truck was back at the dealer with less than 1000 miles on the truck... And they tried to give me a old beat up Ford focus... That had like 400k miles and smelled like walrus tit ..... I went back in there and put the keys on the ladys desk and said there was no way i was driving that thing for a week. And they got me a brand new Tahoe... I was in love lol

When the ford dealer crashed my 2004 F150. I was given a tempo as a loaner. I agreed to this right after i got the phone call that my truck was crashed so i was in shock. After a few minutes of sitting down and realizing the nicest truck i ever owned had been in its first wreck i was like screw that. I called back and they said we have no loaner trucks available. I asked the girl (who i treated well thru all of this because she was just the messenger ) to look out the window i am not picky i would take anyone of the 50 plus trucks on there lot. I brought you a truck i want a truck to drive was my thinking. After a lot of back and forth they put me in a 2010 F150 which is the reason i started looking for a new truck. So I do not understand why they would put someone in a competitors model. When i bought my 2012 the window had a chip. When i brought it in to get replaced they put me in a brand new explorer. Funny how my wife wants a new explorer now. If i owned a dealer i would make that one of my rules no competitors models given out or used as rentals. Put your product in the customers head not the others.

Oh come on now, they're not THAT bad! In fact, just yesterday I stopped by a Ram dealer to look at the 2013s...I gotta tell ya, if I weren't a Ford man thru and thru, it would certainly be my second choice...as I will NEVER buy a GM product.
I bought my girlfriend a brand new 1500 loaded SLT 4.7 manual back in '04 (I couldn't help it, they were giving them away) and she's in love with that truck. It's never given her any problems and it's pushing 100K now. I like those RAM trucks but I own stock in Ford now, if her truck nosedived of course I would talk her into an F-150, but I seriously think she'd lobby for another RAM...she's bummed they don't make the manual any longer.

Your NEW truck is broken...but the running truck with no coolant leaks is a POS?
This thread is all kinds of win.

So let me get this straight, ford is paying for a rental truck for you, you did not have to come out of pocket for this rental and you're crying about this. Sorry but I just don't understand you're rant. Sure the truck is not as nice as yours but you not having to pay for it, I think I would suck it up and deal with it for a week.
Way back when I wrecked my 06 Cummins and insurance payed for everything and yes even the rental car, go to the rental place and they handed me the keys to a POS dodge neon, drove the piece of junk for 4 days and hated every minute of it but I dealt with it because it was free. I'm sure you can last a week driving that dodge.

Who cares what he payed for his truck, Ford could have said rent you're own damn truck but no they were nice and rented him one and then he gets on a forum and starts crying about it, how it's nice as nice as his raptor. Hell no it's not as nice, it's a damn rental. I'm sure he can suck it up and deal with it for a week, well atleast I could. If you think that he should get something of equal value, something is seriously wrong with you.

At one point during my 30+ days of truck being at the dealership I was given a 2011 VW Beetle, lime green to drive. No *****, my wife has a pic of me driving it somewhere.
Of course the day I got it I was our union meeting night.
I parked in the way back.
