Default 2011 3.7L Check Engine Light

I couldn't find another thread w/this same issue, engine size, and year.

Last Thursday afternoon I arrived in Bismarck, ND a 900 mile drive for me. As soon as i reached Bismarck the 'Check Engine Light' came on. I checked fluids about 2 hours later. Everything was okay. The next day i went for an errand and the light went off. Yesterday (Sunday)after 30 min on the trip back home the light came back on. Stayed the night in Kansas and this afternoon I made it back to the house and the light is still on. My 2011 Scab XLT has 3191 miles and 1200 when I left. Truck was lightly packed for a 7 day trip. I used 89 octane the entire trip. Tomorrow I am taking it to the dealer to see what they say. I was told Ford is nitrous for 'Check Engine Light' coming on for no reason but getting it checked out anyways. I will post an update after I get back

Well first person i've seen with a normal V6 and not the 3.5TT. So post up what you find out for future users to go off of. 2011 wont cost you anything to find out anyways.

it's hard to diagnose without having a code pulled to see what the OBD is reading. Let us know what the dealer says once you take it in.

The dealer is booked for a few more days. Oct 17th is my appointment. They said if the check engine light starts blinking to take it to them right away. I'll update after appointment
