2010 F-150 Vibrating while accelerating
Hi all,
My 2010 F-150 vibrates when I accelerate. It does not happen when the gear changes, it happens in between gears. If I accelerate fast the issue does not seem to occur. However when driving normally, it happens between 30-40 mph, 50-60mph, 70-90 mph. Initially I thought it was the road, but gradually the shaking gets worse. It is a closed transmission. I have changed tires, checked the CV joints, etc. I am thinking it COULD be the transmission, but dont understand why it would shake when not shifting. The shaking rattles my hood and you can see it vibrating while driving. Anyone else ever had this issue?

Yes! That is exactly how it feels, like I am going over a rumble strip. And yes, the shaking does go away when you let off the throttle. Sounds like you know what the issue is?

My truck does the same thing, but only at lower speeds when I let off the gas, it downshifts, then I gently ease into it. From what I've read, it's an issue between the PCM programming and the torque converter. I haven't addressed mine yet, but others have gotten rid of the vibration with a PCM update. Not sure if your problem is exactly the same, due to it happening at higher speeds, but TSB 10-06-06 is a good place to start.

Thank you for the response. I have been trying to figure out this issue forever. I will check out TSB 10-06-06 and see what I can find. Good luck to you, and if you ever fix yours let me know what the fix was. I will do the same.
