Default 2008 spark plugs

I recently purchased my 2008 f150 xlt 5.4 with 174000kms and believe that the factory plugs are still in it. I asked the dealer about this and was told some 07 and most 08s did not have the problem plugs installed at the factory. He said that ford had switched to the new ones by then and it should be ok. Has anyone with an late production 07 or an 08 had the plug problem couse it seems it is alway the folks with the 04 - 06 that are dealing with it. I can't find anyone with an 08 or even an 07 talking about this issue. Thanks

One member just experienced a plug blowout on his 08 F150. Not sure the true validity due to the fact this is the only time I heard an 07-08 member having a problem...

Ya haven't heard of that prob in these years of trucks. Perhaps the plug wasn't in right or something. But thanks for the response.

Read on here somewhere that the plugs changed over in October of 07. I too have an 08 and read up on this. I believe it said 10/09/07 was the change over date. There is a sticky on the 04-08 f150 section.

Engine build date of 10/09/07 and later have new plugs installed....check your engine build date on your door jamb sticker.
