I just bought a 2007 ford xtr extended cab. I'm trying to buy seat covers for it but xtr is never an option. Is it true that it is the same as the xlt?

Yes, Xtr is and Xlt with some upgrades

XTR is the Canadian trim level that is the same as the XLT in the States.

I also thought I have read that the XTR has the chrome package as well. I may be wrong on that. Those other threads, lol.......

Just buy seat covers that match your seat configuration.

Most of what I've read (from credible sources) says the XTR is the XLT with Chrome package in Canada. Of course, it can have other upgrades/options as well. This is for 09-14 trucks, not sure if the older ones are the same.
