Default 2005 xl setup

Im a new member and am think about trickin my truck. i have a 2005 xl and am thinking about installing a auto spring 2.5 leveling kit. once im done with that im plan on putting on 17x9 rims with bf goodrich mud terrain 285/70/17 tires. how do you guys think this will look and xd i have any rubbin or any other problems with this setup? let me know what you all think and please send pics of your setups that are close to this. im thinking of going with the xd 798 rims they look pretty sweet on chrisw669's truck.

You'll be fine with that setup. Just for info is your truck 2WD or 4WD? If 4WD those tires may actually look small after installing the leveling kit.

I put the 285/70/17's on my factory rims on my 2008 F150 Supercab. They fit fine. They didn't rub at all WITHOUT the leveling kit. I did end up going with the Autospring 2" kit to level it out a bit and it looks awesome. I agree that if you do a 2.5" kit, you may wish that you went with 305's though. Tires get expensive as they get bigger!!!
