Default 2002 rear ends

I have a 2002 F150 supercrew cab. I got it with 75000 miles on it and it still runs strong. I am about to hit 90,000 I heard that the rearend gears usually go out around 100,000 miles. Either way I wanna go ahead and change out the rear end and maybee upgrade the gears. If anyone has heard of this or has done this already some pointers would be good. I know general engine mechanic stuff but rear ends and transmissions I dont know a lot about. Thanks for your input.

Have an 02 super crew like yours with 130,000 miles. Changed gear oil at 60,000. Never had any trouble. No whine. In my experience with rear ends, they usually whine first for a long time before they go out. I would use the old "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" slogan and leave it alone.
