Yeah, agree about the entire windshield ... maybe there's a valid reason for it .. just none I can think of. I'm getting ready to have the top banner strip of the wind shield. It makes a big difference here in Central Florida. I don't like the sun shield/shade covers so I try to park the truck facing away form the sun when possible, which is usually most of the time.?

Why does almost every sinlge vehicle manufacturer make windshields with the AS-1 line on the front windshield? I'll tell you before you Google it and tell everyone you knew it all along. It's because that area does not interfere with your vision. Tint in that area brings the inside temperature down several degees. In southern states, especially, it makes sense.

In Sept my wife and I went on a road trip donw south and on are way to New Orleans we got pulled over in Alabama by a State Trooper for having tinted licence plate covers. No ticket, he just gave me a warning and told me to remove the back cover at the next exit.
I've been pulled over too for having dark tinted glass, but before the cop gets out of car, I drop both front windows down, then when he asks me to roll up my window to see the tint, he's able to look right through cause the other side is still down. I've only gottin' warnings doing this and no tickets....

Could be. If that's the case, they'll let me know and we'll move on. Above their post, I should have stated, 'Yeah, I agree about the entire windshield being tinted is dumb ... maybe there's a valid reason for it ... tinting the entire windshield .. just none I can think of.
After I posted, my wife said it wasn't clear to her, as well. And she's usually right.
