Default 2 questions on synch3

I've been enjoying the hell out of my 2017 xlt. But I'm still getting used to synch 3.

I thought hd radio was part of synch 3, but I can't seem to find it. Am I wrong about that?

Also, wondering which android phones work best with the system. Looking to upgrade soon.

If you are listening to a station that’s broadcasting in HD it will be automatic and I assume it will list that’s it’s HD on the screen. At least that’s how it worked in a rental I had. There is no separate selection you have to make in order to receive it.

Not knowing what truck you have I'll make a blanket statement - XL's & XLT's don't get HD radio from the factory, that's only in the higher trims with the upgraded systems. You can add it to a lower trim truck by replacing your ACM with one that has HD capabilities

Edit: You can get more info on that Here

It works just how Scoops said, it's automatic. You don't do anything besides tune to your favorite FM station...if it's available in HD, the radio will switch to HD automatically (sometimes it takes a second or 2...I think it even says HD next to the station when it does it). The HD version sounds quite a bit better.
Also, if it show HD 1,2,3....touch the "HD" and it will toggle through other HD stations on the same signal.

I almost hate listening to non-HD stations now.
