Default 12v outlets

Anyway to have the 12v power ports in a 2013 turn off when you take the key out of the ignition? These jokers have juice going to them 24/7..

You could cut the wires and put in a switch for each one, they all have a separate fuse. Other than that no.

Why does that bother you? That's what I like about American trucks

you can charge your phone when out of the truck. The wife's Toyota went dead with the key out and I made it stay hot like my truck.

If you really don't like it take it to a shop and have them tie that circuit into
a key only circuit like the fuel pump or A/C system. But Ford and Chevy trucks have always had power all the time to the Power Ports.

I know on the 2014 sierras that i have at work, the power port in the back seat is switched with the key, and the one on the front console is on all the time. Have you checked if the back seat one is switched?

I wired in the cell signal boosters and CB radios to a relay powered by that power plug in the backseat in the Sierra's. I haven't done any of that type of thing to my ford so I don't know.

What is the big deal with it being powered all the time? It's not just eating your battery alive because it isn't switched.

Ya see, on my Dodge the power ports all had two position fuses that let you decide if you wanted them key switched or not. If you wanted them keyed you just popped the fuse over one pole. (Take note Ford engineers).
