(1) What did you and your truck do today?

We went trash pick'n! My sister in law got a patio rocker, all it needed were new throw cushions. We found a bunch a flower pots, a small decorative bit of fence, all it needs is a little paint, and a bunch of clean lumber someone had ripped out during a re-model. It's to broken up to build with, but it will go nicely in our back yard fire pit. (also a pick'n find)

Hello,
I wanted to be better prepared for the first winter with F-150. I do not have a garage or a car shelter large enough to be used with F-150. I have decided to install a small cab heater (Zerostart & Temro 2600900). And I wanted to have more elegant wiring than the default block heater cord hanging in front of the truck. I also did not want to make any additional holes in the truck for those. After evaluating all the options, I have decided to take advantage of the front license plate holder (we do not have the front license plates here ). Bought a black aluminum blank plate, two NOCO outlets. Some measurements and drilling and I have this "plug plate". Both the block heater and the cab heater are plugged into it. And I can easily remove it for summer if I want to.
I went with two separate circuits to respect the maximum amp rating of the outlets and to be able to control both heaters independently. I have connected each cord to an Insteon plug-in module and this way I can turn each heater on/off remotely, with a keypad at home or by timers. So, the only thing it does not do is to plug/unplug the truck

ngrgoriev, that's a superb installation of a great idea! (both engine block -and- cab heaters). Well done, sir.
