ACTUALLY, it fits OK.
it wont be perfect, but its close. I have an 08 cap on my 2012 6' bed. I lined it up so it fits at the tailgate, by doing this it leaves a a small gap at the front of the bed. its not visible externally, but in rains it is enough of a gap to allow water in. I actually bought a small section of wood trim from home depot, stuck some foam camper tape to the top of the wood trim piece, and screwed it to the bottom of the front of the cap. then I did the normal foam camper tape lining all the way around the perimeter of the cap and knock on wood it has only leaked in the absolute hardest of rain (hurrican sandy) and only when the truck was sitting still. while driving in some serious rain storms it didnt leak at all.
