Default 08 instrument cluster replacement

Our new 08 has a faulty volt meter (facing straight down), fuel gauge only register 3/4 full when the tank is DEFINITELY full, and can't see the mileage on the odometer..... so probably need to replace the whole panel. Realistically, how much of a chore is this?

Plug and play with the correct replacement.. you will need it flashed for correct mileage.

.. Which leads to the question how expensive/pain in the butt is that?

and pardon my stupid questions, while I my job is computers, I've fallen way behind in car electronics etc... I grew up before computers and digital odometers were a "thing"

Not sure on the cost of a replacement cluster .. new or used. Very easy to remove and install. You could hit eBay motors and see what they cost.. make sure you look at exactly the same cluster

Oh sorry, I wasn't clear, Yeah I'm trying to track one down now, I was more referring to getting the mileage flashed to be correct- I would have thought that info was stored in the computer and was just displayed on the screen - meaning swap the screen it still displays correctly.

Not sure how much a re-flash is.. somebody that has done it should chime in.

Seems to be quite the rebuild for 150 bucks. Was just looking at this this morning, this is by no means a sales pitch lol.

I'll keep them in mind, but the fiancee can't afford to be without her ride for an extended period of time. She uses the truck for work.
