I have an 05 f-150 crew cab short bed with almost 173,000 miles on it. An the paint below the gas tank an then right under the 4x4 sticker on the same side has came off. Quite a lot actually. Can anybody relate or give me an estimate to how much a new paint job for the whole truck would cost?

 

I am dropping my truck off at are local Maaco shop and I opted for all the upgrades they offered and it came out to about $4k. But I dont know how the quality will be unitll next week.

 

It's tough to say depending how much room there is to 'feather' the layers of paint and spray the area. If it's too close to your box caps you might be screwed.

Saving money by taking rear bumper off and/or box caps etc helps

 

You can get free estimates at body shops. I'd expect Maaco to be very over priced and lower quality.
