I recently purchased a 2005 F150 with about 106k in miles. I only paid $8700 so I felt it was a good deal. The main reason I bought it is, even though it had high miles, it was very clean. Now I think it may have less miles than the odometer says. When I bought it I noticed that the mileage display blinked ever now and then, but the mileage never changed. So I felt it was just a loose wire. So, today I am filling up the tank and turn the truck on and go to reset the trip meter and I push the reset before the display has fully come up (the XXXXXX XX has not cleared) and I notice that 100 miles has been added to the total mileage. I am just wondering has anyone ever had this issue?

I found one thread that suggested a repair, but no talk about adding miles. I am going to give a go at the repair though.
