I have a 04 F150 and on my right side it's making a ticking noise from the valve I found on YouTube where a guy was removing the oil restrictor and it had something in it and I was thinking if I do the same would it stop the noise or is it something else. I changed the oil and added some Lucas oil stabilizer to it. Can someone help?

Thanks for the link. That answered a lot.

I would think it would be worth your time and effort to check and see if your ticking is being caused by this.
If it is this it would quite your engine just like it did to the guy in the video.

Mines making the same noise in same place as this guy so I'm going to try it
