Default Thinking of trading for an F250

There is a 2006 F250 FX4 with 69K miles supercrew and 4x4, the local dealership wants 25900 for it. Thinking about getting one and am wondering about 6.0L issues. Anyone here have any?

Thanks,

I would look for something else if it were me. There are just too many issues with the 6.0. I had one for 6 years and it is always something. Plus the cost of owning a diesel is alot more than gas truck. Unless you have to have one for towing I would stay with a gas truck. If you do have to have a diesel the 6.0 would be the last one on my list to buy.

I would definitely pass on the 6.0, you'll have to put some cash into it to make it reliable. Get an EGR delete, a new oil cooler, ARP head studs, new head gaskets, an intake, minimum 4" turbo back exhaust, a tuner(SCT and Banks are the best in my opinion), and replace the VGT turbo with one from a 7.3. Ive seen stock 6.0s go 40K until they get problems and I work with a guy who has the 6.0 with some of the mods I just listed and hes making roughly 600RWHP and almost 1000ft lbs of TQ with out any issues. He also upgraded the trans with an ATS Torque convertor

Has it all covered...I just wouldn't go with Banks.
