Mostly a myth really.

Okay, I'm done. Just not sure why it is a disappointment. I mean i get it but you make it sound like Ford made a decision that harmed your decisions when really they have 2 choices) deliver it as they did or do not deliver it. How disappoint would you be if they said "sorry chum, we don't have the chip for your seats so you need to find another truck manufacturer because we can't make yours'.

Have you received any other emails about your truck? Curious if you have a bogus mail or in an account you aren't checking, etc. It's fairly common for a user to bitch about something then finally realize it was in an old account or in spam.
I have lots of emails from Ford saying sorry for delays, them saying when. It was scheduled for, then saying when it was being built etc. So they have my info and can send communications. It's a slap in the face to take out one of the defining features of the trim level and only offer a $300 credit.

It's like buying a hamburger and not getting the meat. The only true difference between a Platinum and Lariat are the Seats. You get slightly better leather, metal trim, wood inserts, AKA Bling, but the true reason I bought Platinum are the seats. For $2500 less I can load out a Lariat with every same option in the Platinum. Thats what the big deal is. $300 credit. With the long wait, my order has yet to get a VIN, now in month 8 since ordered, the fact the seats were deleted, though now they are going to be installed starting next week, I decided, hell with it and found a nice used 2019 F-450 instead. Platinum, just like the F-150 I traded in.

OR SO I THOUGHT!!!!

I discovered the Adaptive cruise is not the same as in the F-150, it does not have auto stop start, it cancels at 12 MPH and does not brake the truck to a stop. After 63,000 miles using the ACC in the F-150 in stop and go traffic and not having to worry about smacking into someone who stopped too quick, I got used to it, BUT I always had the brake covered just in case. Good thing too, since this truck doesn't stop and I came close to hitting someone. I wondered what that beep was all about. Thats a disappointment to me, but otherwise, same as the F-150 overall, just BIGGER.

My only real regret in getting rid of MyPrshs comes when I put fuel in the tank. Going from 21 MPG to 15 MPG, and spending 50 cents a gallon more, sucks. Price I have to pay to have this tow buggy. I tried to find a DRW 17+ with low miles that could replace the 2012 KR I had, but anything decent, even in XLT trim was over $60,000. I even looked for 7.3 XLT long bed, and the few I found were darn near $70K. It is a joy to drive though because of it's turning radius, it out turns even the F-150 I had. Downside though, it can eat the front tires turning too sharply.

Man I wish Diesel was only 50 cents more. Here in Tampa it's $1.25 more and I'm really disappointed to hear what you just told me about the Adaptive cruise control because yes, it was phenomenal in my platinum 150, coming to a full stop as you mentioned. If this isnt the same system, that's bull****. Guess I'll be testing that out tomorrow.

Get an OpenRoads / TSD discount card. It's a direct debit card that gives some pretty good discounts and no limit on price, but there is a 200 gallon a day limit. It only works at full truck stops though.

You were right the adaptive cruise sucks it's just like you said no automatically in centering doesn't take you down to a stop and start again. Also something I noticed is the ****ty quality of the cameras. Or maybe it's the screen but it's a whole lot grainier than it was on my 150 Platinum. Just made my first fill up got exactly 350 mi out of my first tank of fuel out of that about 85 mi was towing my boat I am still unimpressed at this point. There is a noticeable improvement in the stiffness of the rear end while towing that is certainly a good thing but honestly pulling off the line my 150 Platinum was every bit as good some of that is on me because I chose to put 331 gears in this truck perhaps if I had the 355 I'd be more happy with how she pulled off the line. I can live with the slow start that's not a big deal what's disappointing is that there isn't any major improvement in the breaking department like people always want to say " you can pull it but can you stop it?". My 150 Platinum was not exactly a light truck being the hybrid it weighed in at 6100 lb. This truck does weigh in almost 2,000 lb heavier but that doesn't seem to make any major difference in stopping. We'll see how she does as I continue to break her in but man the added fuel cost is going to be legit I obviously didn't take the tank down to empty although it said I only had 12 miles to go it only took 30 gallons and I believe this has a 35 gallon tank I could be wrong maybe it's only a 30 gallon tank. I know for a fact by Platinum power boost had a 30 gallon tank and even mixing a little bit of towing in I would get over 400 MI and highway driving I could get 700 miles on a tank.

Let me add to the Doody list. On my 150 Platinum, my running boards extended all the way past the rear doors to the rear wheel well giving you something to step onto to reach into the bed of the truck. This truck doesn't and it sits 4" higher so getting **** out of the bed is near impossible without climbing all the way into the bed.

Mileage is still terrible around town, only about 12.5mpg

Well here's one for the positive list. Got tpms sensors installed in my boat trailer tires today and setup the system and the tpms works great. Big fan of being able to have a little warning that your blowing out a trailer tire. Now with that said, the connection for toma is kinda strange and I'd like to see this improved upon. You have a wiring harness that connects to the 12 pin connector on thw back of the truck and runs a wire to a box on the trailer that must pick up the signal from the sensors in the tires and puts it into the truck. I'm guessing it's a distance issue with the power output of the tpms sensors themselves but it seems like this should be built into the truck not onto the trailer. I. Other words, anyone that has toma sensors in their tires you should.juat be able to run a calibration and connect them rather than have to buy this entire wiring harness kit for each trailer. Also, the yaw sensor isn't working but I didn't have much time to play with it. It was asking for the stickers and never prompted or seemed to recognize I have a yaw sensor installed. I'll.habe to check into that but I'm pretty solid backing up..y boat trailer anyways so not worried about the backup.assistance.

TPMS are very short range and need a booster for trailers, also the yaw sensor is for 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers. All the trailer TPMS sensors use a signal booster to get the signal to the cab.

Yaw sensor is for any type of trailer. For whatever reason the system is only asking me for the stickers and not mentioning the yaw sensor. I have to read more into the setup though.

This truck is pissing me off so much that not only do I think I want to sell it, in thinking of leaving Ford altogether on principal.
