so the previous owner had recon headlights installed and i have hopefully a simple question. it uses a projector lens and a 9006 style bulb for the low beams and they are horrible. is there a plug and play bulb i could try with this set up. hi beams are great by the way but they use a different lens with a h1 bulb.

 

I don't know anything about recon headlights, but I do know if you put halogen bulbs in a projector lens, you will have a bad time. Is that what you're working with?

Mercedes does this for all their low end lighting packages. My Merc had halogen bulbs in projectors so I contacted aznoptics.com since he deals with Mercedes retrofits and he hooked me up with a Morimoto HID kit to use in the projectors. I believe this would work for you but it would be best to check with them:
