Default Intermittent Hyperflash Issue with Morimoto Lights

Hello everyone,

I have this set of Morimoto headlights on my '22 F250 that originally came with halogen headlights.

https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto...hts?quantity=1

Recently, the RH side has developed an issue where I am getting an intermittent hyperflash indication on the dash while the turn signal itself operates as normal, both in sequential and "regular" modes. This happens both with the "drl harness" connected or not connected. The issue is real intermittent, sometimes I will go several days without seeing it, other times it won't go away all day. This has NEVER happened with the LH headlight. This is what I have done:

Replaced both rear LED blinker bulbs, just in case.

Reset the BCM.

Re-enabled then "re-disabled" the front turn signal outage warning.

Did not seem to make a difference. Any ideas what else I could troubleshoot?

Whatever one came from the factory. In fact, I didn't realize these trucks even had separate flasher relays, I thought that was a BCM function nowadays.

There haven’t been replaceable flasher relays in these trucks since 2008.

OP: you can turn off the bulb out indicator with Forscan.

Indeed and I have. Doesn't seem to make a difference. It's the intermittent nature of the problem that has me puzzled. Almost like the BCM is getting a glitch signal from somewhere.

My mistake. I see you did mention that at the bottom of your post.

Did you also go into the BCM and change the following?

Morimoto is sending me a new headlight under warranty after I sent them a video of the problem. We'll see what happens.

So, an update:

I received a new headlight from Morimoto and installed it. That did not seem to fix the problem. Then I went into Forscan and changed the BCM configuration to what you suggested. That fixed it for a few minutes, then the problem came back. I'm starting to think maybe the problem is elsewhere, like the rear blinker or even the RH mirror blinker. Thoughts?

What confounds me is how there can be hyperflash warning when the hyperflash function itself is supposedly disabled. Theoretically, the truck could have no exterior lighting installed at all and not have any flasher warnings, correct? (provided hyperflash is disabled). What am I missing?

Final update: the problem is fixed, but I fully confess myself stupid, because I don't understand how the issue I am about to describe caused the problem in the first place.

As I was unloading some stuff from the truck, I noticed that the right lower BRAKE light (not the blinker) was flickering. I believe I got those bulbs from superbrightleds but I don't remember for sure. I said to myself "self, this is too much of a coincidence. The problem is both on the correct side AND intermittent". So, I replaced all 4 brake light bulbs with Sylvania LEDs from Autozone, and the problem disappeared. Thank heavens for that!

What I don't understand is how fixing an issue that should not have caused hyperflash in the first place (brake lights don't flash on this model) fixed hyperflash, especially when hyperflash itself was disabled. If anyone can enlighten me, I'll send them a box of cookies.

Also, if anyone from Morimoto (Christian, for example) is reading this, my sincere thanks for taking care of me, even if it looks like their product was not the problem.
