Default Flex Fuel E85

Anyone use E85 fuel in their super duty?
Just passed a gas station and saw it for $1.72 gallon. Regular 89 was $2.20 a gallon.

I found it cost me more in my wallet by using E85 as the mpg really sucked.

That won't be a large enough price difference to justify the drop in mpg. 22%, you need greater than 30% if I recall.

Edit - this says 28%.

Stick with the 87, no need to use the 89.

Around here E85 has been about $1.20-$1.30. That's definitely worth the mpg hit.

Yes, the 89 is also wasting your money. Use what your manual specifies.

In general, E85 is only cost effective in corn-belt states.
