Ok I just upgraded to a used F350 SRW and the dome light and cargo lights will not come on when the truck is unlocked by remote or the doors are opened... if you manually flip on map lights they all work. From searching around online, I have tried to swap out dome bulbs, checked fuses in passenger kick panel, messed with dimmer switch, swapped out dimmer switch, ran through all menu options/settings on dash, and nothing has produced any different results.

The truck has been deleted, could it be a setting that was introduced with the delete program? This seems to be some what of a common problem but most have either been a bad bulb or a fuse, anyone had problems past the easy fixes?

 

I have heard of "black out" settings that can be programed into certain vehicles. I remember reading that it required the dealership to program it that way, so not changeable in the normal dash settings.

Might be a wild shot in the dark, but if you have checked all the normal problem areas it could have been done to it. If I remember correctly the setting was designed for police vehicles, so you can open the doors without giving away your position.

Hope you figure it out, would drive me crazy for sure.
