6.2L, 3.73, 4WD Crew Cab short bed mileage??
Not right now, but in the near future I'm thinking of buying a F250 XLT Crew Cab short bed, Snow Plow package, 4WD with the 6.2L and 3.73 gears. Don't really need it for my camper but extra payload will be nice. Im not a fan of the aluminum F150 that's "MORE" expensive.
Just needed to find out real mpg since I commute in my truck.
Thanks.

13-15 mpg empty depending on where I'm driving and 10.5-11.5 mpg towing 6.5k lb open car trailer. I believe that's the numbers I got this past trip to Myrtle Beach and back (South Jersey).
2012 SCrew Lariat Shortbed 4x4 6.2L 3.73's 100% stock with a Bak RollX bed cover.
2012 SCrew Lariat Shortbed 4x4 6.2L 3.73's 100% stock with a Bak RollX bed cover.

Pulling 5500 TT with wife , dogs etc, 9.9 mpg going into mountains , 11.5 mpg coming out. holding around 60mph. Good steep long pulls both ways.
I never drive around empty , so can't help there, much.

I've seen as high as mid 16's on a long, flat hwy trip.
I'd go test drive a Superduty before you buy and think real hard... because it will feel like a complete dog compared to your F150. I know, I made the switch from a Raptor (couldn't pass up the money I was offered and wanted to be 100% legal when towing my trailer) and I've regretted it everyday since.

Thanks guys.
I appreciate the help. Didn't think that the F250 6.2L would be that thirsty.
I was hoping to get much better milage than that since I commute and drive 17,000 to 19,000/year. That's a lot more money in gas per month than I was hoping.
Thanks

I absolutely HATE the new F150. I won't buy an aluminum truck. Only expensive sports/lux cars are made out of aluminum and they have very little hard use and winters on them. I won't be sold on it until maybe after 6 years 'if' the aluminum handles good without dissimilar metal corrosion and stress cracks.
I hate to go with GM , and Dodge forgot how to make real trucks, and vehicles that are reliable and safe.
I don't think I could force myself into a weak GVWR Tundra and already owned a POS Titan, NOT AGAIN.
So the F250 was really my only choice for 'new'. I guess I'll try to make my '12 F150 last as that type of mileage and my yearly mileage, will likely break the bank with a F250 6.2L.
Thanks.
