the 350 is what, 800 bucks more? There probably isn't a huge difference, I was just wondering if Ford published something like, part A is 20% larger/stronger etc...

I'm leaning gas as of right now. I don't tow much and the diesel is 9k more on a new truck, quite an increase....

In 17-19 gas trucks, the biggest difference between the 250 and 350 was the transmission. The 250 got a somewhat lighter transmission. The 350 got the same transmission as the diesel.

And if the 350 got a trans that lasted longer, not just beefier, that would be a good reason to go with the 350. I know this year we are seeing a new SD 10 speed...

To be more specific, only the F250 with the 6.2 got the transmission. The diesel 250 and the gas/diesel 350 share the old, 6R140. This is really want made me lean to the '16 F250 with the 6.2.

Depending on how it's equipped, the rear axles may be different as well. Those axles may share components like brake parts but the 350 could have a heavier duty axle.

The 6.2 and 6R140 transmission is a pretty well tested package. I knew a 7 something liter engine was coming, but didn't want a first year engine. When I learned the 2020 transmission was going to be a new unit as well, I felt even better about ordering a 2019 6.2 F350 when I did.

Springs are pretty much the main difference between them aside from what was pointed out about the transmission, though now they get the 10 Spd. The Dually is the only one with a different rear axle.

The 2020 gas 6.2 250 still gets the 6 speed.

I believe SWR now and in the past few years came with either a Sterling or a Dana depending on engine.
