My mom's boss is looking for a new truck. ( for work. So hauling and snow plowing ) I said PowerStroke but he wants a chevy for some stupid reason. ( he currently has a 97 7.3 ) why should he get a 6.7? Anything you like that the Ford has that chevy doesn't have? I am almost positive I am going to have to test drive both and put them head to head in challenges ( he's a millionaire but doesn't show it ) I was thinking towing challenge or something like that?

The only reason to get the Chevy is for the Allison transmission. If I were in the market for a new HD diesel, it would be a Ram.

Ford body, Cummins I6, Allison = Best HD truck ever. /dream

The Allison trans in the LDTs such as the Chevy 25-3500s is a flaming pile of ****. Why anyone associates them with the mdt or hdt segment is beyond me.

That's a first.

No, it's not. Put any power, over stock, to a Ltd Allison and you'll be rebuilding that heap rather quickly

Look at the sales numbers, they speak for themselves. If you want a true workhorse, a Superduty is the only choice.

Yea, Allison's are true garbage. How people think they are good is beyond me. Then there is the entire IFS front end on a Chevy. Rides nicer, but not heavy duty enough as a solid front axle is.

Ford has gone back to a VGT turbo on the 2015. With a better high pressure fuel system and the proven transmission and chassis...Ford is the only way to go...

I love my 2015 F250. Can't say much about the Chevy, other than my mom had a 2013 and now owns a 2014 F250.

The 6R140 Torqshift that Ford uses is a fantastic transmission. The Allison is not a bad transmission but they don't like a lot of power, and like to go into limp mode when they aren't happy.

The 6.7 is a tried and proven diesel engine and has the most power and torque in its class especially for 2015. As others have mentioned the sales numbers speak for themselves.
