2007 f-350 6.0
Well guys, i may be selling the f-150 and going to play with the big boys. Im looking at a 2007 F-350 with the 6.0 I am concerned about this motor and i wanted everyones feedback on it. There are bad reviews on this motor but they all come from 2004-2005 and for 2006-2007 there are nothing but good things. Did they get things straightened out or do i not have all the info. Also if there were going to be problems what would there be, that way i know what im talking about. I am buying it from a ford dealership and it has warranty on it but i just dont want a headache.

I think they got the problems figured out exactly like you explained it, they sucked for the forst 2 years, them got everything figured out.
Also, I would stay awaf from any used diesel with any sort of aftermarket exhaust or a tuner, because you know how it was driven.

I have 24000 miles on mine...All stock still....And I love it. Have not had any problems with it although it is not easy to turn in. I have the long bed, crew cab and you have to become versed at parking these things.

pull the air intake and look at the turbo to see if theblades have sharp, clean edges and the turbo is clean, this will tell ya alot a "dusted" motor WILL have problems.

Hi,
I have a 2006 F-350 that has 21,000 miles on it and all I have done is change the oil and filters. Had a 2003 and a 2004 F-350 that Ford bought back and I ended up with the 2006. I could not recommend 2003 or 2004 model years. Some people had good luck with them but I didn't. If you are looking at a 2007 I believe most all the problems have been addressed. Hope this helps.

GUTLESS... I just traded my 2500 ram with the cummins in it. I have driven that, and fords with 7.3s and 6.0s. I know this is a ford site so this won't be well received, but I drove it, hated it, and know several people who have dumped their trucks just because of that motor. get as a new of a truck with a 7.3 as you can find... But a cummins plus $1500 will get you 450 rwhp...

if you want the ford truck and aren't concerned with big power, just get a 7.3 imo. more reliable. if you want power and don't care about comfort or a decent trany but cant bring yourself to buy a chevy get a cummins. if you want comfort, reliability, and power, get a d-max.
