Default Will there be an increase in range in the near future?

Trying to hold on to hope for Ford with the EV F150, but the Chevy Silverado RST range is pulling me to the "dark side"... LOL. 500 miles on a single charge is outstanding!! Searching the internet to find any info on increasing the range for the F150 EV in the near future has come up short. Does anyone here in the forum know of any news, if any, of a range increase?

I don't want a Silverado, but 500 miles!!! I don't haul any equipment or boat, just family and luggage mostly. Thus, the 500 mile range is so appealing to me.

Edmunds did a test and says...don't buy it...buy a Ford or Rivian. Just saying. Plus a $97K price tag is just ridiculous.

If you need to tow anything substantial then the Silverado EV is the only EV option. The Rivian and Lightning towing range are terrible. The battery is huge, 212 kWh or something like that vs the lightnings 130.

i doubt the Lightning will get upgraded to anywhere near the range of the Silverado since I don’t think the Lightning could physically handle the weight of the battery. The Silverado is over 9000 lbs and is on 8 lug wheels to handle the weight. it’s heavier than an F450.

If you are not towing then the 300 mile range is honestly pretty good. The biggest downside of the Lightning is the measly 150kw charging speed. That means, if you are road tripping, it’s not gunna be super fast to charge. Rivian has 220kw and the Silverado is 350kw.

If you need to two anything substantial, then an EV of any make or model is not an option.

Ford has finally admitted defeat in the EV world and asked Tesla to save them, which should result in a greatly improved level of performance.

Nah, you can tow 10000 lbs about 230 miles with a Silverado. Thats pretty solid.

most f150 owners don’t even hook up a trailer ever.

Avoid parking garages, they were not made with 10,000lb vehicles in mind.

My trips are typically well over 1,000 miles at a time. I've got no desire to play games wasting time "recharging". No thanks.

I couldn't care less what 'most F150 owners' do. I care about my trailering needs.

you are in the .00001%. No one could care less about what you need, especially the half ton truck manufacturers 😂

your needs also have no bearing on other people’s purchase decisions, so mind your own business.
