We wanted to take a moment and share our overland build on our '22 Lightning. This will give you guys an idea on what you can do with ALL bolt-on items.
This is a '22 Lightning Lariat ER. The bed cover is the RetraxPRO XR. We've got a set of Rhino-Rack Vortex bars attached with a Body Armor tent.
On the roof is a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Rack that has lots of toys on it. First we have our Rhino-Rack awning on the driver side. Followed by a pair of Baja Designs 40" S8 Bars. Of course there's the Rotopax water and gas can (gas is for the ICE vehicles lol). Throw in a Rhino-Rack fishing rod holder and a shovel and we'fe almost done! One last thing we added was a Rhino-Rack ladder to help us unload the items on the roof. Ohh and who can forget the MAXTRAX.
So just because she's an EV doesn't mean she's not capable. This is a VERY capable truck!
Looks neat, thanks for sharing. How long does it take to setup that tent?
About 5 minutes or so.
Tent opens up easy and then it has your standard tent poles that you insert for the rain flaps. I guess if you didn't put the rain flaps up it would be setup as soon as you opened it really.
Putting it away takes a bit. You have to stuff the canvas into the center so you can zip it closed.
