Default Tranny connection

Hey guys, got a 79 f150 4x4, nice and easy, what is this connector for? I can't find a wire around or under the truck that goes to it.

I'll get you a more zoomed out picture after work, and also try to get one of the pins inside of it.

If it's the backup lamp switch, there will only be 2 wires to it

here's a zoomed out photo as well as all the way in, looks like a 2 pin connector like you said.

You'll need to get down there under the truck with a flashlight, and look up to find the connector, if it's still there
The wires are only about 4 inches long coming out of that harness for the switch
Common to get unplugged
Looks like yours was hooked up not too long ago

I'm about 90% sure I didconnected it when I thought I was going to drop the tranny. The good news is, I'm actually dropping the tranny for real so if it's there I'll find it.
