Default Tow Capacity

I have a 1980 F-150 straight 6 flare side with a manual transmission. Does anyone know what the towing capacity of it might be? I've searched the internet and have found no answers. My wife wants to pull the biggest horse I've ever seen with it, as well as a trailer to carry the biggest horse I've ever seen...I have serious concerns about my transmission...

Thanks!

the straight six is a pretty good workhorse..as for the weight load..if it moves well than okay..make sure your clutch is adjust properly...is it an 8" bed ..it makes a difference
you shouldn't have too much trouble..now the big question..single trailer or dual..if it's a dual horse trailer..you'll need a bigger truck..otherwise it will take it's toll on an 80 in no time

Default Dont be fooled because its a 6 Cylinder

my father pulled a TREE TRUNK out the ground with his Inline 6 It has lots of power, that doesnt mean tow horses. Im just saying they are not as weak as people think. there has to be something on the Internet about it, or just call ur local ford Dearship and ask an Associate
