85 f150 351 windsor carbureted.
question: before i get into the stripped out ones id like to have fresh replacements on hand. anybody know the size/length of the bolts and nuts on the gas tank straps? i can drive out to the garage and pull one off, but if i could get em on the way that would be great.
4 on the rear? 2 on the side?

 

well of the 4 that were on the rear only 2 were the same size....all metric. the front 2 were also metric...size 10 but i dont remember the pitch right off hand. i will post if i remember. replaced rears with 3/8". shouldnt be metrics on old american trucks in my mind. also bought a ford tank selector switch. went to the best hardware store around these parts and couldnt figure out thread pitch of nuts that were welded to flange. re-tapped em to 5/15 x18.
