Default Tailgate install on '76

Newbie here,

I just scored a tailgate to install on my F150 high boy, but the truck bed doesn't seem to have the brackets and limit strap for mounting. The local autoparts store laughed when I tried to find anything aftermarket (like Dorman or similar) and told me to head for the junkyard.

Does anybody know of any other sources to find all the necessary tailgate hardware? I'm trying to find something rust free

Thanks,

Tim

FYI, back in those days, cables were not used. It was a hinged strap, the center joint had to be pulled toward you to collapse the hinge for disengagement with the studs secured to bed of truck.
