Default Tachometer on 85 F150???

Looking at adding a Tachometer on the truck. I would like add it into the current gauge console but all the aftermarket tach's I have found are on a mount on a dash or on the A-Pilar.

Does anyone have any experience with installing an aftermarket Tachometer that worked well with a 85 F150? I would also be very interested to see any pics you guys might have of one installed...

You could always do a factory tach, that's what I did. Just need to find the tach and circuit board. Any 81-86 F series except diesel will work doesn't matter what truck they were in. Diesels and 80's trucks were different.

I bought a small 2" tach at Harbor Freight & installed it where the clock would have been in the gauge cluster. Cost about $ 20.00.
