Default Starter Solenoid Question

I realize this is off topic and if the moderators want to move it or delete it oh well.
I have a 1973 Jeep Commando. AMC used a Ford starter and solenoid and I’m changing over from points to electronic ignition (AMC also started using Motorcraft electronic ignition in 1979 so that’s the swap I’m trying to do) the trouble I’m having is I keep burning through starter solenoids these are the old finder mounted ford style. I know they are all the same as far as interchangeability but has anyone had better luck with a particular brand, or manufacture?
Thanks
Tim C

You can never go wrong with motorcraft parts. They're pretty quality parts in my experience.

Are you sure you are getting a good ground thru the solenoid mount?
