alright, recently got the truck blah blah blah


F150 speedometer solution

*grease end of cable where it sticks in the gauge with graphite or white lithium grease.

*replace cable, and grease.

*pull out cable from transmission, spin end with gear on it by hand or power drill. see if it spins the gauge.

*if yes, then the problem is either gear at end of cable or gear inside the tranny.


*Inspect plastic gear and replace if flawed.

*thats as far as i got. and it fixed it....


*if still not working its the gear in the tranny, replace by removing driveline flange, and pushing it out through cable hole.

*And if the gauge is broken, I saw some plastic gears for that online

now im fixing the chipped windshield. Bought a Permatex kit from pepboys. gonna try it out asap.

then maybe rewiring radio. who needs a radio anyway.
