Default sloppy sockets

84 f150 351 windsor. so i have bought about 6 different sockets for the rear end of my truck now. most places want to sell me two for each side that are the same size(one is deeper than the other on the truck) so right off the bat i have most if not all of the local parts stores trying to sell me sockets that dont fit my truck. then when i am able to finally get ones that fit the lenses the tolerances on them are so sloppy that the the bulb can go on and off by just shaking the socket. after trying 6 brand new ones that did not work for one reason or another i ended going to a local pick-a-part and found a 30 year old one that was far superior to any of the others. doesnt seem right. the lady at the local ford parts counter very rudely told me that she was not required to stock parts that old and that she wasnt interested in helping me- that i should buy a newer ford if i wanted her help. anybody else have trouble finding good rear lamp sockets? anybody founs a good source for them?

i always seem to answer my own posts.....went to pick a part today. grabbed 6 sockets thinking a few would be bad. looked rough. not only did all six work, but they all still had working bulbs. and WAY tighter fit than any of the aftermarket ones i have bought. all for 10 bucks.

also, emailed bronco graveyard. in their catalog the same sockets are posted for turn and back up light, so i asked em. they sent me actual pictures. they look right. those guys know. the shallow one they had was made of metal, which i had never seen...
