Default Semi metalic or ceramic

As anyone tried ceramic brake pads on their pre 1980's F-series? I like the durability and light dust, but am worried about the stopping power with a brake system designed for organic and semi.

Never used the ceramic on mine, always used the OEM style maternal pads

I used the cheapo brakes from Rock Auto and they SQUEALED so badly. Not to mention that one of the shims cam off the pad and started to drag the drivers side. I had to put a pair of vise grips on the shim and hammer it out.

Ordered new SEMI metallics OEM from Raybestos. Squeal once then gone and stop great with little dust.
