I’ve been trying to restore my wife’s 1986 F150 but every time I get a head I find more issues mainly in the form of rust. I’ve been trying to replace the drivers floor and outer floor but found rust in areas that they do not make panels for. I’m not sure if I should call it quits or not, I have mechanical abilities but I’m not a fabricator by any means. The seat belt lower bolt is seized in place and I can’t even get it out with out cutting it out.
Yeah that looks like a lot of rot. I'm no fabricator either and wouldn't be taking on a project that size. It really depends on how much sentimental value the truck has.
As far as that seat belt bolt, it looks super dry, no wonder it won't come out. It needs to be hit with some PB blaster from the top side and from underneath the truck and let it soak in. Heat can also be your friend. Then I'd try an impact gun but you gotta be careful not to strip it. If you have to cut it out, so be it.
