Default quick help with 2150 carb

84 F150 4x4, 2150 carb, 302
Im new to working on trucks and i was hoping someone could clear something up for me. I've been searching and can't find the info I need.

I rebuilt the carb, and it's back on the truck now, but I'm not sure about where the hoses go. I can't understand the diagram that's under the hood.

Also, the guy i got it from installed a manual choke, which i'm staying with.

so here's what i've got:

A: capped
B: the port under the accelerator pump is going to the manifold?

A: fuel overflow
B: i have no idea what this is
C: main fuel inlet
D: this is going to the distributor

A: this is supposed to give hot air to the choke. the metal line is kinked shut
B: this is connected to the back of that vacuum trombone thing. the tube goes to the trombone thing, but the trombone thing isn't hooked up to the choke.
C: this is capped too
D: there's another large port on the back that is also capped

And my last concern....smoke pours out of here when i start it :-/

I really appreciate any help anyone can give me, or if this is already somewhere else if you could point me that way. Thanks a lot.

The thing you call a trombone is a Choke Popoff, since it's not hooked up disconnect it from vacuum and take it off, you won't need it with a manual choke. On my 79 my distributor vac advance is hooked up where "D" is. But you have a later model 2150 than I have so mine has different hookups.

where "D" is is the line i have going to the vac advance too, so maybe that's right.

if i remove the choke popoff should i plug that line on the carb?

I'll give it a crack, 1st PIC, A= no problem. B to manifold (plug both)

2nd PIC. A = fresh air to carbon canister?? B= Emissions thingy, do not remember.

3rd PIC. C= filtered air to choke heater. D=not in PIC

4th PIC Is that a screw wearing a hole in vacuum booster line (not good)

Hope this helps.

Yes plug the popoff line on the carb and in the last pic it does look like that screw is wearing a hole in the Break Booster line.
